Grade 70 high carbon steel chains have the best strength-to-weight ratio because of their exceptional hardness, which also provides superior wear resistance. The chain is manufactured to NACM standards. Each link is proof tested two times and the break load is 4 times the Safe Workload (design factor 4:1). Used primarily by the trucking industry for load binding, this chain is lightweight for its strength and easy to handle. Used extensively on farms, in logging and construction. Chain is zinc electroplated with a yellow chromate conversion coating, which provides very good corrosion resistance. Do not use for overhead lifting. Never exceed the Safe Working Load (SWL).
